SmilingEagle Press was founded in 2006 by Sandi Jerome with a commitment to publishing meaningful technical and non-fiction works. For over fifteen years, we built our reputation on helping authors translate complex ideas into accessible, impactful books - at no charge to our authors!
In 2022, we expanded our vision. While honoring our roots in non-fiction, we began championing Native American writers and publishing Young Adult and Middle Grade fiction—stories that inspire young readers and carry messages that resonate long after the final page.
In 2026, we made the decision to go into production with animation tools like Blender which enables our creatives to turn our characters into visual stories. Yes, you can make a full animated film with Blender, which was used entirely to create the Academy award-winning feature film Flow.
Our Mission
We believe every creative deserves a true partner, not a bill. SmilingEagle Press never charges writers to publish or creatives to produce. Instead, we offer our knowledge, guidance, and years of experience to help each creative find their path. We publish books with purpose—works that inform, challenge, and connect readers to something larger than themselves. We make films with a message - or help you forget your troubles!

Smiling Eagle focuses today on Young Adult and Middle-Grade Chapter Books that can be adapted into TV/Streaming/Vertical drama series - animated series. We do not charge you to publish your book and we can refer you to an animation creative.
